All items are sold “AS IS”. Prospective bidders bear sole responsibility to inspect an item before bidding and perform other due diligence to determine the item’s authenticity, condition, size and whether or not the item has been repaired or restored.
Please read the Terms and Conditions. The Conditions of Sale, including the appended notes and other information, whether printed or online, as they may be amended by any posted notices or oral announcements before or during the auction sale, constitute the entire agreement between Barridoff Auctions, representing its consignors, and the bidder relative to the item being sold and the conduct of the sale. By registering for or participating in the sale, all bidders agree to the terms hereof.

You can view our live auction and participate by bidding online through our website. You can also follow your favorite artists, watch lots in our catalog that you are interested in following, and get notifications for upcoming sales and when our catalogs are published.

Through our app you are not only able to bid, but you can also view the live auction, see past bids, watch lots of interest, select favorite artists, and inquire about consignment for one of our upcoming sales.

IN-PERSON BIDDING
Share in the excitement of a Barridoff Auctions International Fine Art Sale! You are invited to join us at our facility in South Portland, Maine as the hammer falls on each carefully curated work of art to cross the auction block. Raise your paddle and add another treasure to your collection!
TELEPHONE BIDDING
If you are unable to attend the auction in person, an experienced member of our staff will call you during the live auction to bid as your proxy. You are able to direct your bids as they raise the paddle on your behalf.
Telephone lines are limited and therefore are reserved for clients who are planning to bid above the low estimate on a lot. Once your registration is accepted by the front office, you will receive a confirmation email.

ABSENTEE BIDDING
If you are not available to participate while the live auction is conducted you can submit an absentee bid, also called a “left” bid. When you register, you’ll indicate which items you are interested in and a “top-limit” amount telling us the highest bid you are willing to make on each item. During the live auction, an experienced staff will bid on your behalf up to your maximum if the bidding goes that high.
Once your bid registration is processed by our office, you will receive a confirmation email. All bids are handled confidentially and professionally.

ONLINE PLATFORMS
We accept bids through various third party auction platforms (i.e. LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable, etc.) You may register to bid directly through the platform of your choice.
Pre-bids can be placed preemptively before the auction and will be executed during the live sale. Live, real-time bidding is available once the live auction begins.
Be aware that each platform is unique and third-party auction platforms do not communicate directly with one another. We advise against registering on multiple platforms to participate in a Barridoff auction as it is possible to bid against yourself unwittingly.
